Nice elevator. By the way, are you familiar with a building in Chicago by the name of 190 South LaSalle? That’s a REALLY nice building. I don’t know how tight security in there is but you may want to check it out.
The parking deck shares the same structure and base as the rest of the building so the weight is distributed equally. The building is only a year old so it is pretty modernistic and there are no faults in engineering. Bravo to those engineers and designers!
Ah, I see. I was looking at it from a structural perspective (arch school does that to you, haha). The load on the columns on the lower floors is tremendous with a pool that high, but the 10 story concrete parking structure can bear the load. Hats off to the architectural engineers on this project! =)
I think they chose to put it on 16 because 3-13 was the parking deck and 14 and 15 were meeting rooms. It was also the dinning area and maybe they wanted a nice view for that. I cant imagine how much effort was put into the makeing of these elevators. The interior was glass and wood which was light up by LED which was behind the glass. I enjoyed the elevator music and the smooth ride as well.

Maybe the 17th floor was a fan floor.

Strange to put a pool on floor 16. Nice elevators though! Love the fixtures and it’s interesting how it doesn’t display EZ in the express zone.
